Vital Life is committed to supporting its employees and as a show of solidarity is proud to be accredited by The Living Wage Foundation.
The Living Wage rate is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by nearly 6,000 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work. The real Living Wage is higher than the government’s minimum, or National Living Wage, and is an independently calculated hourly rate of pay that is based on the actual cost of living. It is calculated each year and is announced by the Living Wage Foundation as part of Living Wage Week. It is currently £9.30 in the UK, with a higher rate of £10.75 for London, reflecting the higher costs of living in the capital.
Emma Barlow, HR Manager at Vital Life said ‘We are delighted to announce that Vital Life is now an accredited Living Wage Employer. This commitment applies to not only directly employed staff but also to our third party contracted staff. We are really proud of this commitment and feel this is our way of standing by our belief in British manufacturing.’
